Logo Photo Shoot!!

   see all photos

Hey world!!
This is Yui from Japan.

Today, we had the first event for SUN, "Logo Photo Shoot!!" at the Canada Place in Vancouver.
We had 30 people from 8 countries (it was supposed that more than 50 people came for our event today though.. ) and we enjoyed an international photo day together!!

Originally, we were planning to hold this event in front of the Vancouver art gallery for making a cool Logo Photo for our facebook page. We wanted to spell out our initial "S-U-N" with lots of people from various countries on stairs of the art gallery. However, as you know, now there are lots of protesters camping there and we couldn't help but changed the location to the Canada Place. We found the super cool place for our  photo shoot outside the Canada Place.  Our logo photo was supposed to be like this ↑ (This SUN is made with only Ayaka and Katerina though lol).

However.. yes.. here is RAINCOUVER, it was a really bad day with dark rain and strong wind!! Everyone except Katrina was like "Please!!!! no photo outside!!!!!" (but only Katerina was like; "hey, come on!! Be like  Canadian!!") So we decided not to do it outside, but inside the Canada Place.

Because of this rain, nothing worked as we originally planned.  We had to change everything and I was almost freaking out (actually, I was almost crying, too lol). However, because everyone there was so helpful and flexible, we still could take lots of great photos together!!

Let me say thank you for everyone who came to our event today . I have such awesome friends. Thank you for being flexible and helpful. You guys are wonderful!!

The event today was not perfect at all. But, this is only our start.
We will definitely will be better. Even though the weather here sucks, we will be the great SUN to make people smile and happy.

Anyway guys, thank you sooooooooooooooo much. You guys are super awesome. I'm proud of being friends with you guys and I'm so glad that I could meet some new cool people today.

Thank you, Arigato, Danke, Kamsahamnida, Khawp khun kha, Merci, Pöjöm, Shukran, Cám ơn for everyone!!!
